October 22, 2019, Highwood, IL – Street Level Studio (SLS) is pleased to announce the official opening of its new, custom-built creative workspace at 214 Green Bay Road, Highwood. To celebrate the move into its new headquarters, SLS is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony, reception, and networking opportunity on Thursday, November 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“The move to 214 Green Bay Road is a big one for SLS, even though geographically it’s just a small hop across the tracks,” says Tanya Fretheim, owner and president. “Street Level Studio has been a fixture in Highwood for more than three decades. But after I took over as owner about five years ago, the agency grew so quickly we had to split our staff between two buildings on Waukegan Avenue. This current move once again consolidates the entire SLS team in a single space. It’s been great working with our architects, Shumaker Design + Build Associates, and our super-efficient builders from L.R. Hein Construction Corporation. Together we’ve been able to transform the space into a creative, collaborative environment that fully supports the work we do.”
During the event, SLS is hosting a combined after-hours networking event for the Highland Park, Highwood, and Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Chambers of Commerce. A member of all three local chambers, Street Level Studio is using the occasion to bring these business communities together “both to celebrate our long-awaited move to this exciting new space as well as connect with other area professionals they might not have crossed paths with before,” Fretheim says.
The public also is invited to the ribbon-cutting and reception, where they can tour the latest workspace to occupy the old, reclaimed building in Highwood’s downtown corridor, which was originally a taxi stand. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP at facebook.com/streetlevelstudio.
